About Virtual Audio Cable

Editors Review
Despite its rather old-school interface, Virtual Audio Cable is actually relatively easy to use, with most of the legwork involving mixing and matching the virtual cables to their respective applications. Amazingly, even with several audio streams going on at once, being routed to and from multiple applications, the software remains stable, without stuttering or artifacting. Virtual Audio Cable does what you ask it to do very well, making it a great recommendation.
Eugene Muzychenko’s Virtual Audio Cable is a virtual audio device for Windows that allows applications' audio streams to be shared amongst each other.

Virtual Audio Cable acts as an intermediary between applications, where one or more applications send their audio streams into the input side of the virtual cable, allowing any other applications to listen in on the output side, receiving the exact same audio data. Virtual Audio Cable supports up to 256 virtual cables where audio information can be mixed and distributed. Because all of this audio information being passed about is digital, there is no loss of quality in the process.

Virtual Audio Cable also links virtual synthesizers, sound editors, sequencers and recorders together, allowing for a virtual mixing studio environment. to manage all of these streams, it features a control panel which displays the sample rate and channels for each virtual cable, as well as the number of connected applications. Virtual Audio Cable is capable of stabilizing heavy load streaming, making it possible to use many streams at once without stuttering or loss of performance.
